📍 ACQUISITION

  • HCL Technologies (HCLTech) announced its agreement to acquire Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) Telco Solutions Business for a total purchase price of up to USD 160 million. This strategic move aims to bolster HCLTech's engineering services and AI-led network offerings, deepening its engagement with global communication service providers. The transaction is pending regulatory approvals and is anticipated to close in approximately six months.
  • Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is set to make a significant investment of $4.45 billion for a 20% stake in Shriram Finance. This marks the largest Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India's financial services sector and is viewed as a strategic step towards MUFG potentially gaining majority control over time.

📍 ORDER WIN

  • GPT Infraprojects (through a joint venture) secured a contract valued at Rs 1,804.48 crore from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). GPT Infraprojects' share in this project amounts to Rs 469.16 crore.
  • MTAR Technologies received an additional order worth ₹310 crore from Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd for supplying equipment to India's civil nuclear power sector, specifically for the Kaiga Units 5 and 6 nuclear reactors. This brings their total order inflow for these reactors this month to ₹504 crore, with deliveries scheduled until February 2030.
  • Newgen Software Technologies secured new contracts totaling approximately ₹55.17 crore. This includes a ₹16.53 crore order from a prominent Indian bank for a Digital Lending Platform and a ₹38.64 crore contract from a public sector bank in Saudi Arabia for a loan origination system.
  • Mishra Dhatu Nigam announced securing an order worth Rs 121.75 crore, contributing to an open order position of approximately Rs 2,520 crore.
